What are the 4 styles of coaching for a Leader to consider?
1️⃣ - Just let them be. Most useful when the team consists of highly skilled, highly motivated and highly reliable individuals who work well together.
2️⃣ - Mentoring. Most useful when individual(s) within the team lack the required knowledge and/or experience.
3️⃣ - Non-Directive Coaching. Most useful to foster innovation, creativity, boost employee engagement & motivation and foster a culture of inclusive belongingness.
4️⃣ - Power Partnering. Mentor & be mentored. Coach & be coached. Most useful to bring about spirit of powerful collaboration treating individuals equal as the Leader and both partnering as equals, both drawing each other's innate wisdom and both contributing their expertise.
You cannot master the 4th Style unless you have mastered both - the 2nd and the 3rd style.
