Everything is Kung Fu - Lessons in Learning
I have often, rather almost always found that students who had no prior knowledge of coaching or NLP are super excited and over zealous to know how they can become a good coach, even a great coach. "How do I use this?", "Where do I use this?", "Which method do I use?", "What do I use where?" - These are just some of the countless questions going on in their minds.
More often than not, they get exasperated at the grind they are being put through in their training. Not realizing, not knowing that every bit of grind they are being put through is getting them ready for that ultimate fight, that ultimate coaching session.
When children are taught to write alphabet letters, they are made to draw their pencil over dotted form of the letter. They are made to do this 100's, even 1000's of times, sometimes maybe even 10's of 1000's of times. And this is done for each letter of the alphabet. They do not know that this is building up their skill at writing. And yet, they do not get impatient about having that perfect, beautiful handwriting. They just immerse themselves into the task, the learning at hand. They surrender to the learning without any questions, without any expectations. This is the natural way that the mind, the brain learns.
